 The California Community College Chancellor's Office, Strong Workforce Division, is pleased to announce a collaborative multi-regional pilot project with the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE).  The pilot project will provide 30 Career Education (CTE) faculty the opportunity to complete ACUE's Course in Effective Teaching Practices.
This course "prepares college educators to implement all of the essential practices shown to improve student outcomes. The Course includes 25 one-hour online modules across five comprehensive units of study. Consisting of over 180 instructional videos, the Course showcases exemplary teaching on campuses nationwide and features interviews with leading experts in college instruction. This facilitated, online Course is offered to cohorts of faculty at participating institutions. We are asking for your assistance in finding a diverse pool of CTE faculty willing to participate in the pilot.  Please consider one or two CTE faculty whom you believe could engage in this effort.  Selected faculty will complete the entire pilot project prior to the end of the Spring 2018 semester.  Each graduate of the pilot will be invited to attend the Spring 2018 California Community College Association of Occupational Education (CCCAOE) conference.  Cost of the course and conference attendance will be covered by the pilot project.
