FYI -
We are confirming who can't return to work on Monday. Please e-mail or call me if you CAN NOT return on Monday. We also need to know if you need any loaner technology due to a loss. Finally, if any SRJC equipment was lost due to the fire, we need to know and track that for insurance.
Thank you all again and I look forward to seeing everyone.

Subject: Request if you are able to help prepare for Monday
Importance: High
Good Afternoon, Department Chairs and Deans:
This morning Academic Affairs Council had a brief huddle and talked about making sure our faculty have the necessary tools to come back to work on Monday - the main one identified being computers/laptops which may have been lost. I know you are all in contact with your faculty and staff to make sure they are safe. I also know you are probably already taking the measure of the magnitude of this need in your departments, but if you are not, there really are two questions that are foremost after ensuring safety in order for us to gear up:
1. Are your faculty/staff able to come back to work on the first day they are scheduled to work?
2. Do they have the computer access they need for classes or work?
If the answer is no to either of those, I am here to help.
If you need subs, you got it. If you need to do an emergency hire, both the Academic Senate and my office are ready to help to get that done as quickly as possible.
If one of your colleagues lost a District laptop, please let your Chair and Supervising Administrator know as soon as possible as we are working on a bundled insurance claim and, more importantly, so I can get a total count of computers needed and get them to you.
I don't mean to be filling up your mailboxes and causing you more stress, but I do want to make sure you are provided with what all of you need to re-start classes in the District.
Finally, thank you. Every day I am overwhelmed by the caring and thoughtful ways you are helping each other and our students.
Mary Kay
