The Academic Senate will hold a CTE Leadership Institute on May 5-6, 2017, at the San Jose Marriott. We highly encourage you to invite CTE Liaisons and Counselors. This event will provide CTE faculty with the opportunity to engage in key policy conversations through their interaction with representatives of the task force, by learning about the implications of policy decisions on local programs and courses, and in participating in breakout sessions to better understand the college processes including topics on leadership, curriculum design, course repetition, and effective program advocacy. Registration is now open and will be offered at NO cost to our CTE liaisons or Counselors this year. The San Jose Marriott located at 301 S Market St, San Jose, CA 95113 is conveniently located in the heart of Silicon Valley in downtown San Jose and is 5 miles from Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC). The San Jose Marriott hotel does not provide a hotel shuttle service from/to the airport. If you are traveling by car, please see driving directions, from the airport or any other location. Valet parking fee is $35 per day and $ 40 for oversized vehicles. Additional self-parking may be found in near-by parking structures.

You can make hotel reservations online. In addition, we are able to cover one room night (or two depending on the distance you will travel) at the hotel.  You would need to make a reservation and provide the hotel with a credit card.  Once you check into your room, your hotel charge will be moved to our master account.  Finally, we do have a small pot of funds for scholarships for travel if the college is unable to pay for your travel. The reservation website has been set up for making hotel reservations.
