TITLE: Wastewater Operator Trainee

​This Recruitment opened on 8/6/2019 and will close on 8/27/2019.This recruitment is being conducted to establish an eligible list to fill one (1) current vacancy. The eligible list may be used to fill future Wastewater Operator Trainee vacancies. The Laguna Treatment Plant is a 21.34 MGD tertiary filter treatment plant serving 230,000 people. It includes wastewater treatment, bios​olids treatment (compost), and reclamation facilities. Operators assigned to the plant are responsible for advanced systems, including computerized controls, activated sludge with BNR, filtration, ultraviolet disinfection and co-generation. While the current assignment is to the Laguna Treatment Plant, Wastewater Operators may be assigned to any of the treatment or reclamation facilities operated by the City.
