Pharmacy Technician -- On Call


Jewish Home of San Francisco, a not-for-profit, licensed skilled nursing facility specializing in programs, services, and care for older adults, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Under the direction of a licensed pharmacist the Pharmacy Technician may perform packaging, manipulative, repetitive, and other non-discretionary tasks; including but not limited to removing drugs from stock, counting, pouring, or mixing pharmaceuticals.

If you posses...
• Current license as Pharmacy Technician with the state of California, required
• Two years of experience in compounding, order entry, billing and narcotics handling
• Experience with dispensing machine, preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport quickly with peers and customers
• Knowledge of current drug forms, dosage strengths, and generic/trade names
• Knowledge of Federal and State laws/regulations governing the provision of pharmaceutical services
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to read, write, communicate and comprehend verbal and written instructions in English
• Ability to learn and to operate pharmacy computer system and other equipment
• Able to work both as a team and independently
• Able to stand for long periods of time with frequent bending/stooping/lifting and/or reaching
