Please read the email below from AFA.
AFA has two negotiators that will come by on Thursday, March 15, from 12:00 until 1:00 to go over the contract negotiation impasse with us.
You are all invited to come and listen/speak with them to find out about what is currently happening.

Please send me an email confirming if you will attend.

Dear department chairs—

We would like to schedule a time for members of the AFA negotiations team to meet with your department and discuss the current state of impasse. AFA is responsible for preparing for all possible eventualities of impasse, including the possibility of a strike, and it is critical that the faculty be informed. We know that it can be challenging to keep up with all of our emails and to attend AFA meetings, so we would like to arrange for a visit to your department so that you and your colleagues have an opportunity to share your thoughts, ask questions, and be fully informed. An informed faculty is an empowered faculty.

We are interested in scheduling these visits as soon as possible; 30 minutes should suffice. Please let us know whether you can accommodate a visit and, if so, the best times for your department.
