[ITT-staff] Important Deadlines and Announcements

Hi faculty,
Here are a few announcements and deadlines you need to be aware of:

v Census Rosters - Census rosters are due no later than Friday, September 15th at ll:59pm. Cece will begin emailing all faculty who have not certified their rosters this week. DCs are asked to assist in ensuring this task is completed.



v Evaluations - By Friday, September 15th



o   Adjunct and regular:

?  If the evaluee rejects the department peer selected from the rotation list, the DC selects the next available peer from the rotation list and informs the evaluee. Evaluee has no further right to reject a peer. Note: adjunct faculty members in the probationary period do not have the right to reject a peer.

?  The DC and SA consult and deliberate about all Adjunct Faculty evaluations in the department and determine if the department chair will observe and whether the SA will request to observe any of them. (See Art. 14 A & B, sec. 14.09, A.)

?  The DC notifies evaluee of evaluation team members, including who will observe (email notification preferred). The peer always observes.

?  The DC informs the department peer of the evaluation team assignment.

?  The DC and SA determine if classified staff input is desired for any evaluations and plan to distribute those feedback forms. The feedback forms must have DTREC approval in advance.

By Friday, September 23rd

*       Evaluee submits course syllabi for all courses being taught and instructional or allied duties schedule, and Self-Assessment to DC. (email preferred). This is a mandatory deadline.




o  Tenure Evaluations: By Friday, September 15th

?  Mandatory Deadline: Probationary faculty member submits the following documents (email preferred) to the supervising administrator on the team: Self-Assessment/Duties Assessment, schedule of classes and/or other student contact activities and accompanying course syllabi.



?  Supervising Administrator reports membership of tenure review team to Dean CESS.





v Lumafest - SRJC Petaluma campus is holding its open house on Saturday October 14, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Participation by all Santa Rosa-Petaluma instructional departments, groups, student services and student clubs will make this a true open house. There is no charge for a college booth. Participation can be as simple as staffing an information table, or as elaborately interactive as you can imagine. We encourage:
*     Activities that encourage involvement of our attendees.
*     Shows that educate or demonstrate skills or processes.
*     Special activities for youngsters that can educate & inspire them to consider college.
*     Mini-workshops or How-To demonstrations

There are a limited number of shade canopies and electric cords which will be distributed on a first come first serve basis according to your place on the sign up list.
