Good afternoon,

Attached is the Sonoma County Economic Development Board's July 2016 Job Market Tracker. Included is our monthly analysis of real-time online job postings, aggregated from over 25,000 sources, as well as a bonus feature of hiring trends in the Education industry. Seven months after the initial release of the Job Market Tracker Monthly Reports, we are working to continue improving the reports. The EDB wants to ensure the Job Market Tracker is as useful as possible and provides the information you need about current hiring trends.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
To improve distribution of the reports, the EDB will be transitioning the release of the monthly Job Market Tracker Reports to an online email marketing platform starting in October 2016. Using Constant Contact to deliver the monthly reports will allow us to manage subscriptions more effectively. Please look for the new email format in October!

JULY 2016 HIGHLIGHTS

·         Over 9,000 job postings were advertised in July 2016, an increase of 759 postings compared to the same period last year.

·         With 836 postings, the Retail Trade industry had the most job postings in the July reporting period.

·         Santa Rosa had 215 new job postings since July 2015, as it continues to have the most job postings of any Sonoma County city.
