Attention CalWORKs students, student workers and STNCs:
Have you consider enrolling in a Work Experience course?
Note: Students may "retake" Work Experience courses up to 16.0 units.
The Work Experience department is positioned to accept a large number of adds in the following courses and is accepting late adds for this semester:
* General Work Experience: WRK EXP 97 students may enroll in up to 6.0 units per semester
* Occupational Work Experience: WEOC 99 students may enroll in up to 8.0 units per semester
* Internships: WEOCC 99I, AGRI 99I, CS 99I + internships
* Community Involvement: CI 51, 53, 54 volunteers at non-profits; up to 3.0 units per semester
Work Experience students improve their "soft skills" (customer service, communication, motivation) that improves their job performance and career success.
It's a win-win-win for students, employers, and SRJC.
Students short on units to receive financial aid? Encourage them to enroll in a Work Experience course.
Access: Work Experience instructors work in the field and meet with students and their supervisors at the work site.
Students do not need to be present on an SRJC campus to participate.
