SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELOR--IN CUSTODY PROGRAM
Bay Area Community Resources operates an Alcohol and Drug Treatment Program in the Marin County Jail. We are looking for a certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor to become part of our team. Job duties include facilitating treatment groups, doing intakes, individual care management, engagement and retention groups.
Job requirements include:
- Certified Alcohol or Drug Counselor or licensed counselor
-Previous experience working with the criminal justice population
-Computer literate
--excellent work ethic; full understanding of and adherence to professional ethical and legal standards

The following experience would be a plus:
-Training in Seeking Safety and Anger Management
-Certified in Thinking for Change (T4C)
-Passionate about working with this population
-Bilingual English/Spanish speaking a real plus, but not required
