<font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial">My name is Katherine Pineda and I am a Program Assistant with CalSERVES, AmeriCorps. CalSERVES is a tutoring program that provides opportunities to college students and recent graduates to serve as mentors to elementary
students in need of extra academic support. During their term of service, our mentors earn monthly stipends totaling $7,000 as well as an education scholarship worth $2,775. </font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:0in; margin-right:0in; margin-left:0in; margin-bottom:16pt; font-size:12pt; font-family:'Times New Roman'">
<font class="Apple-style-span" face="Arial">I would love to share this opportunity to get involved in our local community with your students. Our AmeriCorps members tutor students in one of three subjects; Healthy Behaviors (PE and Nutrition), STEM (Science,
Technology, Engineering and Math), and Literacy. </font></p>
