The Santa Rosa Junior College Community Education Department is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Short Term, Non-Continuing Administrative Assistant III position.

Community Education offers not-for-credit enrichment classes for lifelong learns in Sonoma County.  Community Education also serves the community by providing an online traffic school, Alive @ 25, Educational Travel, Chamber Concerts, and Arts & Lectures Series.

Community Education is fast-paced and a department driven by customer service.  Community Education's main goal is to exceed the expectations of all lifelong learners in the community.  The position is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking increased responsibility and experience in higher education.  The scope of the position includes:


1.      Coordinate education programs

2.      Register educational traveler participants

3.      Update Drupal website

4.      Involved with schedule development, classroom reservations, and offsite agreements

5.      Process time sheets, requisitions, other payment forms, some electronic

6.      Monitor program budgets

7.      Maintain spreadsheets and databases

8.      Maintain statistical records

9.      Troubleshoot scheduling issues

10.  Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and experience in an educational setting with prior experience implementing educational programs.
