Surviving an Active Shooter Situation Training
District Police Chief, Robert Brownlee, will host a presentation that includes viewing the video, 'Shots Fired on Campus - When Lightning Strikes'. The presentation provides expert guidance for surviving an active shooter situation. Following the presentation, Chief Brownlee will be available to answer questions from the audience. If you can't attend one of these presentations, there is another way to get good information. We can't post the 'Shots Fired on Campus - When Lightning Strikes' video because of the cost of the licensing agreement, but there is a video on Youtube.com called "Run - Hide - Fight" that was developed by the City of Houston through a Homeland Security Grant. The video is not specific to educational institutions, but it tells the same basic story. Caution, it does contain some graphic footage of simulated gunfire and injuries.
