Pharmacy Support Specialist
JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Operational Support Services Manager and in coordination with the WCHC Medical Director, the Pharmacy Support Specialist is responsible for supporting Care Teams in timely management of medication Prior Authorizations, Treatment Authorization Requests, compliance with insurance formulary requirements, and assisting patients with medication assistance programs.

Duties:

1. Assist with timely processing of medication Treatment Authorization Requests and Prior Authorizations.
2. Works with Care Team to comply with formulary requirements for medication requests.
3. Support patients and Care Teams in finding and managing appropriate prescription resources including: prescription discount programs, patient assistant programs, Medicare drug coverage options, 340B access, other.
