Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, pharmacy department coordinator, or a senior technician, the Pharmacy Assistant performs clerical and assisting functions related to pharmacy duties as well as interacting in an effective manner with patients and co-workers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1) Type prescription labels in accordance with legal requirements on the QS1 system in a busy community pharmacy setting. Conduct and performance in accordance with federal and state pharmacy regulations. Understand basic functions such as refills and price codes
2) Operate a cash register accurately in a high volume setting
3) Keep work area and equipment in a clean and organized condition;
