Description

Assists the pharmacy department in storing, preparing, dispensing, reconciling, and charging of all medications to the nursing units and treatment areas serviced by the pharmacy.  Also assists the pharmacist(s) in maintaining an adequate drug inventory and quality control procedures.



Requirements

Education, Training and Licenses Required: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of vocational training in a Pharmacy Technician program required. Current CA Pharmacy Technician License required.

Experience Required: Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required:  Knowledge of Federal and State laws, regulations and standards regarding the provision of pharmaceutical services.  Able to withstand stress of high activity area. Excellent customer service skills required.
