Hi Diana,

I just wanted to touch bases with you on my ad for the SRJC linkserv. There was a mistake on the ad--I had to change one of the phone numbers. I have attached this new ad on this email for you to send to everyone. Any ways, if you could please update it for me, then this would be great.

Thanks!

Hi Diana,

I don't have a link, but attached to this e-mail is the flyer for this project. I also have a written introduction below:

Greetings everyone!

My name is Vivian Dao and I am a recent graduate from Santa Rosa Junior College's pharmacy technician program class of Spring 2015. Upon graduation, I was blessed to have the opportunity to pursue my M.S. in Medical Health Sciences (emphasis in pharmaceutical sciences) at Touro University in Vallejo, California.

As a master student, I am required to design and develop research studies pertaining to the world of pharmaceuticals and health care. My private investigators and I are studying how medication can influence driving and we are currently doing several research projects involving a driving simulator.

Right now, we are interested in learning how medication can affect driving in the geriatric population. We are currently seeking and recruiting participants for our research project involving a driving simulator. This a great opportunity for you to contribute to the world of medical research and to earn a $25 gift card to Target!

In order to participate, you must meet the following requirements:
-You are age 60 or OLDER
-You are an ACTIVE DRIVER
-You can fill out a short questionnaire
-You can drive yourself to Touro University and spend no more than 2 hours there

This particular 'gig' will require you to fill out a questionnaire and schedule a time with us to take a driving test on the simulator during business hours. (None of this information is reported to the DMV or any government agency. There is no harm, no foul, and no sheriff is watching. Best of all, it is FUN!)

You will not be poked, prodded, touched, or take any experimental drugs. We are very respectful of our participants' values and will honor them with integrity and dignity. We ask that you provide us with a list of medications you are taking, show that you have a valid driver's license, and then sit down at a driving simulator and drive a simulated course for about 1 hour. It's really easy peasy and fun--I promise!

Also, if you know a friend or spouse, feel free to spread the word and double rewards! While one is driving the simulator the other can relax in the nearby library or visit the Mare Island Museum.

Parking is free at the Library guest parking and once you arrive to the island, either Dr. Doroudgar or I will come get you (the simulator & research room is very close).

Listed below, is our information for you to contact us if you are interested in participating or have any questions about the experiment:

-Dr. Shadi Doroudgar: shadi.doroudgar at tu.edu<mailto:shadi.doroudgar at tu.edu> / 818-281-5856<tel:818-281-5856>

Thank you!

Sincerely,
Vivian Dao

Hi Diana,

How are you? I hope all is well and great with you so far!

I just wanted to send you an e-mail, updating you about my time at Touro University. So far, I am really enjoying my master's program in pharmaceutical sciences and am thinking of pursuing a career in pharmaceutical industries. As a master student, I am required to work on several projects and clinical studies with my professors on campus. Right now, I am investigating whether certain medication can affect driving and am in charge of facilitating a driving simulator on campus.

I wanted to ask you, since you have great connections with the geriatric population around North Bay, if you could please help me out with recruiting participants. Right now, my private investigator and I are finishing up a project on anticholinergeric mediation and its effect on driving. We need about 170 participants so that we can finish up this project by November.

Any ways, please let me know if you can spread the word. I also have a flyer which I can attach and send you a prompt to include in an e-mail.

Thank you so much, once again, for all of your support during my journey in the world of pharmacy. I hope you are having an awesome time getting ready for school to start again--I really do miss you and the other professors at SRJC.
