Hello Bev!

I wanted to let you know that the applications are out for the Student Health Services PEERS interns for the 2015-16 academic year. This is a 10-15 hr/week professional internship and is a fantastic opportunity for students who are interested in mental health, health promotion, and community outreach. It can work really well for students interested in work or internship experience credits. The PEERS interns' primary focus is working to raise awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental health issues by doing outreach and programming that provides information, skills, and resources to the SRJC campus community. Please share the attached detailed job announcement and application with your students and send them my way if they would like further information. I am also including a flyer that can be posted on a bulletin board and a job announcement for Student Health Aides, for students who may be more interested in working on the clinical side of Student Health Services. Priority registration deadline is May 15, so students should get their applications in soon! Thank you for your support!
