Bookstore Account Clerk I  SRJC Bookstore, Petaluma
This is a short-term non-continuing (temporary position)
Maximum 25 hours per week, 175 days per year. $11.15 per hour
Job Description:
The Santa Rosa Junior College Bookstore in Petaluma is looking for a Bookstore Account Clerk I to provide general and clerical assistance to the textbook department, under supervision by Bookstore Technician and Bookstore Manager, Petaluma Campus.
Duties to include, but not limited to: Paperwork handling; including calling in purchase orders to vendors, following up on shipments to report damages and request credit, assisting with processing of invoices, and verifying textbook adoption reports.  Candidate may assist in purchase and sales of textbooks and other materials on online marketplace.
Candidate may also perform other duties including customer service, cash register operation, shipping and receiving, and online order processing.
Qualifications:
Must be able to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a college level; follow oral and written instructions; operate computer and understand software applications; perform physical labor including the ability to lift and carry large amounts of books by hand or with use of equipment; analyze situations accurately and take appropriate action; communicate effectively in English; interact with other employees, students, and the public in a helpful, courteous and friendly manner; maintain effective working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population.
Preferred Experience:
Some shipping and receiving experience preferred, experience in a College Bookstore environment a plus.
