Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Affection for animals and concern for their welfare
Demonstrated proficiency in math is required to interpret weights and measurements accurately
Knowledge of proper laboratory sample handling
Ability and interest in accommodating varied work assignments and schedules
Ability to communicate in a professional, pleasant, respectful and courteous manner at all times
Maturity, good judgment and professional personal appearance
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize
Ability to respond efficiently during medical emergencies and to effectively follow direction from senior technicians and doctors under high-stress situations
Knowledge of proper laboratory sample handling
Proficient written, verbal and computer skills including the ability to communicate via Outlook email and navigate Word and Excel programs
Education and Experience
California or National pharmacy license preferred
2 years college education with an emphasis in science and math. One year of comparable work experience may be substituted for each year of education
Hours: Part-time, non-exempt position. Daily reporting hours and days of the week vary according to the medical needs of the department. May include nighttime, weekend and holiday work.
