One of Ajilon's top healthcare clients in San Francisco is seeking a Pharmacy Technician/Pharmacy Coordinator for one of the most prestigious and renowned companies in San Francisco. This is a temporary administrative project that will last for at least 6 months. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to work with one of the most successful organizations in San Francisco, and add the amazing experience on their resume.

The Pharmacy Coordinator (Pharmacy Technician) is responsible for working with a diverse team, supporting in all administrative aspects. This position will be trained in several key positions. Our client is currently growing and this position could lead to more opportunities
Job Duties:
The duties of this position include making telephone calls to members and providers
Strong data entry. Provides administrative and clerical support for case management, disease management and utilization management activities
Maintains databases as needed for reporting requirements
Answers questions and resolves issues promptly from providers, office staff, and pharmacy staff pertaining to medical supply benefits, formulary and preauthorization requirements.
Participates in making member phone calls working from a script, and identifying when calls need to be referred to a clinician for review
Enters required data in various computer programs and databases.
Coordinates activities with the other members of the collaborative and attends required meetings.

Performs other work duties as assigned.
Work Experience/Qualifications:
Current California Pharmacy Technician License, required. Experience with Prior authorization is a MUST
Retail background as a pharmacy tech is preferred.
A Bachelors degree in Social Sciences, Life Sciences, Business or a related field, preferred.
Experience with Medi-Cal and/or Department of Health Care Services regulations and standards, preferred.
Experience in an HMO or experience in a managed care setting, a plus.
Knowledge of and experience with state and federal insurance programs, a plus.
Must be PC literate; MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
demonstrated ability to handle multiple or changing priorities, and urgent requests while maintaining confidentiality.
Attention to detail and accuracy, great follow-through, reliability and credibility are required.
Pay is $14-$19 per hour, depending on experience.
