North East Medical Services (NEMS), a multi-specialty health care organization in San Francisco, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for our San Francisco clinic. Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, performs technical functions and related pharmacy duties as well as activities related to compounding, procuring, storing, and distribution of pharmaceutical and pharmacy products

JOB DESCRIPTION
 *   Compounds, procures, stores and distributes pharmacy merchandise in accordance with legal requirements.
 *   Type prescription labels in accordance with legal requirements on the QS-1 System in a high output setting.
 *   Keeps work are and equipment in a clean and organized condition; maintains a safe efficient work environment.
 *   Assists in the maintenance of inventory records, the taking of inventories, the placement of orders, and the receiving of drugs and supplies.
 *   Establishes and maintains courteous and cooperative relationships with peers, patients, and other personnel, and the public.
 *   Performs duties as assigned by supervisor and President and CEO.

MARGINBAL JOB FUNSTIONS:
 *   Operate a cash register in a high volume setting.
 *   May interview patients to obtain information regarding drug use, pertinent patient information, drug allergies and sensitivities.
 *   Perfforms related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
 *   Licensed as a pharmacy technician by the State Board of Pharmacy
 *   English Fluncy required
 *   Cantonese preferred
