This position will assist the pharmacist with dispensing, preparation and packaging of medication by performing the technical aspects of pharmacy practice within the limits of regulated responsibilities (as defined by the California State Board of Pharmacy)


High School Graduate or General Education Degree(GED). Graduation from a Pharmacy Technician training program. One year experience in retail/ hospital pharmacy setting preferred. Valid California Pharmacy Technician License.

Current, fast and accurate dispensing skills. Ability to use pharmacy computer system as quickly and accurately. Good interpersonal skills, consistent positive attitude, team player. Ability to interact professionally and courteously with pharmacy managers and staff, physicians, and other employees. Able to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks under heavy and frequently changing workload conditions, and work with frequent interruptions. Able to work independently and follow through with tasks and assignments. communicates clearly, completely and concisely both orally and in writing. Able to accurately interpret and follow verbal and written communications, and interpret medical abbreviations. Able and willing to help others when workload warrants, to assume new responsibilities, and to adjust schedule. Demonstrates initiative and makes suggestions to improve efficiency and solve problems.
