[ITT-staff] Lounibos Hall Break-in over the weekend

Hello ITT Staff,

Quick update on the break-in that occurred in Lounibos Hall over the weekend. Please find the attached message from Vice President of Finance and Administrative Services Kate Jolley sent to all faculty and staff in ITT with an assignment this semester.

I spent time in Lounibos yesterday morning with the Chief of Police and District Facilities Operations staff.

The suspect broke through the glass door leading into the Lounibos office suite. They also broke two glass doors inside the office complex (Dave Lemmers door and the Associate Faculty office at the end of the row). The suspect was apprehended on site and no items of value were found in their possession. If you discover any damaged or missing items, please report them directly to District Police so that the information can be included in the criminal report.

The glass was cleaned up but if you find any loose glass, please let me know so I can ask Custodial to do another vacuum.

The front door has been covered in Plywood for now. Facilities Operations is getting quotes to replace all three panes of glass.

At this time Campus police are restricting access to the office area pending their investigation.

Timeline to gain access is unknown and then repairs will be accessed.

Today (Saturday) Andrew stopped by to work on some paperwork and found the office area broken into and a person wandering around.  Campus police responded and detained the person and have secured the crime scene.  The state multiple broken glass doors inside.
