Welcome back for Fall 2023.

We have a busy semester ahead of us and a few dates to be aware of.

Wednesday 9th - Flex Professional Development day.  No scheduled activities. (Department Chair meeting all day)

Thursday 10th - District-designated activities - SLO training (see district email about schedules)

August 14th - Classes begin
Expect for students to show up on the first day trying to add into the class.  Sending out a welcome email (through the student portal or Canvas) at the end of this week to currently enrolled students might help reinforce the importance of showing up on the first day of class, or they might be dropped to make room for those that do show up.  For this semester there are no COVID vaccine requirements in place, and we are operating the campuses in the same relative manner as pre-pandemic.

August 28th - Proof 1 Spring 204 due to Dean.
Copies have been sent out to coordinators.  Please work with them on the Spring schedule.

September 1st - First department meeting

TBD (Tuesday 8/15 or 8/29 at 5:30PM; or W 9/13 or 9/27 at 1PM) - Cluster meeting with Dr. Garcia.  More information to follow.

Also as a reminder, Tera is scheduled for ITT from 8a-12p every day and Health Sciences in the afternoon, with Monday and Tuesday telecommuting.  Please email her with any questions, or if you don't see her in the office area, as she might have other tasks that have her away for the office.  Some days she also might have to flip her schedule to support HS, so please be understanding.

For anyone that has not been to campus in a few weeks, all of the street parking on Armory has been removed by the City and replaced with two bicycle lanes.
