[ITT-staff] ITT February Department Meeting

Hi ITT,

I am teaching from 12-4 on Wednesdays this semester so will unable to attend the department meetings at this time slot.

I would like to add a few items to today's discussion. The broken equipment is starting to pile up in the back area against the building again and broken tables and chairs are being left outside the dumpster in from of the AMT lab. I would just like to say that we all need to have a sense of pride on how our little piece of the campus looks and is maintained. When visitors walk into our labs and the first thing they see is garbage laying everywhere, it just leaves a bad impression.

I would like the team to consider an option to move the metal recycle dumpster if there could be another location. I would be open to possibly moving it behind the AMT shop instead of in front. Thoughts?
The lights in the machine shop are still not completed.

The COVID-19 protocols are not clear. What do we do if exposed by a student? What are students supposed to do if tested positive? What do we do if tested positive? Are we out 5 days, 10 days or what?

We are supposed to get our new laser cutter equipment today and it will be an amazing new piece of technology offered in our program.
