[ITT-staff] Department Meeting March 1, Important!

Hello to all I&TT faculty and staff,

Just a reminder that we have a full schedule for tomorrow's department meeting.

  One of the most important topics that we will discuss is the implementation of "special expertise" requirements to teach in our four programs.  The Automotive program already officially requires instructors to have ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications to teach any automotive classes, and we will be discussing making similar requirements official for Welding, Machine Tool, and Diesel programs.

Diesel program will require ASE instructor certifications

Machine Tool will require NIMS (National Institute of Metalworking Skills) instructor certifications

Welding will require AWS (American Welding Society) instructor certifications.


If you are interested in adding your opinions to the discussion, please attend the meeting from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. on March 1, 2018 in the Lounibos office area.
