Hi all,

Given the catastrophic events of the past week, I wanted to let all of you know that I am extending the due dates for both the first year strong workforce reporting AND the application for funds for 2017-18.  Please submit your annual and 5th quarter activity report for 2016-17 funded activities to me by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, November 15th.

Applications for Strong Workforce funds in 2017-18 should be submitted to me by 5:00 pm on Monday, November 27th. The link to the application is in the original email below and on the CTE webpage.

Hi all,

You are receiving this email because you have a project that was funded through the 2016-17 Strong Workforce Program. I've attached the report that you will need to complete and submit to me by October 20th. Please be sure to review it with other faculty involved and your dean before sending it to me. Submit it to me electronically to help facilitate the reporting process. This report only needs to cover activities that were conducted between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017. If you have not spent any or all of your funding, but have been involved in planning, I need you to report on that along with when you do plan to expend your budget. Remember that this funding period does not end until December 31, 2018, but progress should be made toward meeting the project goals.

The intention of the strong workforce funding is to increase FTEs in CTE and improve student outcomes regarding certificate and degree completion, transfer, and job placement. Be sure to address these metrics in your narrative.

Also, remember that applications are now being accepted for the next round of SWP funding for 2017-18 (to be fully expended by December 31, 2019.)
