Good Afternoon BPS,

I hope everyone is settling back into our routines and is having a good week.  I wanted to send out a reminder that the Strong Workforce Proposals are due to me by the 23rd, giving me enough time to review and provide input before their final due date to the CTE Office on November 27th.

The first round of SWP funding has already made an incredible difference for many of our areas including (but not limited to) approximately $618,000 for:

*         New Snap-On tools for Automotive and Diesel Technologies

*         Diesel Engine blocks

*         Industrial Trade power wash system

*         Regional drone conference and drones for our new drone program

*         Regional cybersecurity summer camp

*         Regional Entrepreneurship program support

*         Regional Hospitality program support

*         SLIA Classified position for Industrial Trade Technology

Please think big with projects that will move the needle with more CTE and/or better CTE.  If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask me or Tina Dodson who is the Director of Workforce Programs and CTE Grants.
