Dear CTE Champions!

Attached you will find the application and instructions for the Strong Workforce Program Grant.  As you may know, the District received $1.64 M for individual projects to produce MORE and BETTER CTE offerings.  I will be discussing this further at our CTE Fall Forum on October 20th and 21st.  You will need to fill out the application which includes data and resources.  This is a fantastic opportunity to "move the needle" and develop the CTE offerings we have only dreamed of.  Please make sure you review this with your department chair and supervising administrator BEFORE you turn them in.  If you have any questions regarding this funding please feel free to contact me to discuss.  If I have questions, you know I'll be in contact with you.  Your supervising administrators have been debriefed on this grant and should have met with you regarding possible projects.  Please plan to come to one of the Fall Forum presentations to gain more info.  I would be glad to attend any planning meetings your program, department, or cluster may have to discuss.  These funds are similar to CTEA funds, however we are able to fund a few things that CTEA will not.  All applications will be vetted and prioritized by Dr. Chong, Mary Kay and myself.  Applications due to my office on November 18, 2016.
