Hui, Aloha no kaua e Keo!
Ho'omaika'i ia 'oe a me kou mau hoa no ka ho'opa'a maika'i aku i nei
ki'i'oni'oni! Wow, everybody that I know that has seen the movie loves it.
I am so anxious to view it.
Definitely still interested and yes a fundraiser. I know many of my friends
from San Jose are contacting you too. So glad you have Sacramento and the
City. Huge Hawai'i culture loving base in Santa Cruz.
We also have a large Hawai'i culture loving base here in Sonoma County and
Napa County. I am sure we can cover North of San Francisco pretty well,
maybe with a couple of screenings. We have the Napa Aloha Festival. I am a
kokua with Kumu Hula Pomaikai Gaui of Kehaulani Hula Studio who wrote to
you too.
Please let us know your requirements for the screening, publicity, etc.
I am looking into how much it would cost to have it shown in the commercial
theaters. But mainly, since I work for Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC), I
would like to show it here. Also, we have a small committed group of
locals/Hawaiians at the college (Hui Pulama Mau) organizing a Mayday Aloha
Festival for May 2014. This would be a great fundraiser. Also for Kehaulani
Hula Studio, this would be a fundraiser to attend the 'Aha Hula o Halauaola
in July 2014.
Anyways, sorry for going long. Mahalo again for this opportunity to
showcase Hawai'i culture in film here in the wine country.
Me 'oe ke aloha pumehana a me ka mahalo,
Liko Puha
