Qualifications:

  *   Demonstrated Alcohol and Drug treatment experience. (residential preferred)
  *   Alcohol and Drug Certification (California State approved)
  *   Experience in working with a mixed gender treatment population.

The requirements for the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  *   Demonstrated experience providing substance abuse treatment and detox services with mixed gender populations including criminal justice referrals;
  *   Experience with substance abuse treatment models and an understanding of treatment modalities is expected;

Center Point DAAC (Drug Abuse Alternatives Center) seeks a Full Time (36 hours per week) counselor to work in the REAP Methadone Maintenance and Detoxification Program providing individual counseling, assessments, treatment planning and case management.

Minimum of 2 Years Experience providing Alcohol and Other Drug Treatment. Prior experience working in a Methadone Program highly desirable. Experience working with diverse clients. Knowledge of harm reduction, the principles and techniques of case management, crisis intervention, and client-centered counseling and group facilitation.

Applicants must be registered/certified/licensed to provide counseling services in an Alcohol and Other Drug Program.

After three months, Medical, Dental, Vacation and Sick leave will be offered.
