We are looking for confident, mature, resourceful, responsible individuals who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the elders that reside at our facility. Your caring heart and skills will be welcomed in a loving environment that has been created for our residents. The people we seek need to be responsive, calm and centered when dealing with the special needs of those with Dementia. You need to have well-balanced repertoire of interpersonal skills that will allow you to handle any situation more gracefully. These skills include verbal and non-verbal communication, listening, questioning, manners, problem solving, social awareness, responsibility, accountability and assertiveness
We currently have part & full time positions available. You do need to be able to work at least one weekend day and be flexible with AM and PM shifts. Your ability to work the shifts that are needed is critical in our choice to have you join the team.
CAREGIVER (Santa Rosa)
You will need to be a team player, yet independent to be able to work on your own and manage your time appropriately. Being adaptable and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. Having an I CAN attitude is what will help you to achieve success in this position. We do work hard, but more importantly, We work smart! Each employee is expected to be able to do all the facets of the caregiving position including, but not limited to:
* Assist with ADL's & activities promoting self-esteem and dignity
* Provide safe transfer techniques and ambulation
* Understand normal range of motion and positioning
* Provide medication reminders and pass medication
* Carry out any other tasks such as cleaning, cooking, ironing and laundry
* Have the courage and the desire to help residents on Hospice
* Ability to provide protective supervision, ensuring a safe, clean, and healthy environment
*Able to prioritize resident's needs and reporting changes in condition to management
*Recognize emergencies, know emergency procedures and be certified in First Aid and CPR
*Understand the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of the population served
REQUIREMENTS: (to be hired)
All applicants shall understand that the following requirements are conditions for employment:
? * Criminal record clearance (Fingerprints run through the Department of Justice)
? * Minimum of 18 years of age
? * Must be able to read, write and understand English with proficiency
? * Medical Exam (From MD to show ability to perform job)
? * TB Test and Clearance
? * You must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
? * You must be legally eligible to work in the State of California
